Kolavai lake is one of the biggest lake in kanchipuram district actually this district is called district of lakes and it is the biggest lake of its kind in my childhood I will be delighted to see water overflowing from it in rainy season and it is major water reservoir for farmers but now due to globalization everything is changed some part in it is occupied by house builders and even worse government has given permission to construct a special economic zone in it .there should be someone who should stop all these things and revive its old nature to it .
